A tragic incident unfolded at a popular shopping center as a man lost his life following a fall from the building’s roof. Hampshire Police responded to the distress call at Westquay shopping center in Southampton on Monday when it was reported that a man had fallen from a height. The emergency response teams swiftly arrived at the location just before noon.
Regrettably, the man was declared deceased at the scene. Police authorities have initiated an investigation into the matter, with notification of the tragic event conveyed to the man’s next of kin.
A representative from Hampshire Police disclosed, “We received a notification from the ambulance service at 11:39 am on Sunday, November 30, regarding a man who had fallen from a height at Westquay on West Quay Road in Southampton.”
The spokesperson added, “Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and his family has been duly informed. Our officers are actively pursuing inquiries to ascertain the circumstances surrounding this incident.”
