“Trump Considers Firing Attorney General Amid Epstein Probe”

Date:

President Donald Trump has allegedly informed Attorney General Pam Bondi that she is on the brink of being terminated as he grows increasingly agitated over the Epstein Files. The speculation surrounding her future has intensified in Washington DC, with reports indicating that Trump conveyed to Ms. Bondi that her tenure at the helm of the US Justice Department is nearing its conclusion.

Ms. Bondi has overseen the administration’s management of the Epstein Files, a matter that has deeply frustrated Trump, as his name appears numerous times within them. Trump’s faith in her is said to have waned after a congressional committee probing Epstein’s offenses issued her a summons, endorsed by both Republicans and Democrats, to provide sworn testimony.

It is important to note that being mentioned in the documents does not imply guilt or awareness of the crimes committed by the infamous American pedophile. Nevertheless, Trump’s name is featured in FBI memos linked to unproven allegations of child sexual abuse against him.

The White House has vehemently denied these claims, dismissing them as entirely groundless and lacking any credible evidence. Trump is reportedly contemplating replacing Bondi with Lee Zeldin, the current head of the Environmental Protection Agency.

Zeldin, a former congressman and staunch supporter of Trump, emerged as a prominent advocate for the President during his initial impeachment proceedings. According to a recent report by The New York Times, Trump has yet to definitively decide on Bondi’s dismissal.

Notably, Bondi accompanied Trump to the Supreme Court on Wednesday to observe oral arguments regarding his efforts to abolish birthright citizenship, which grants nationality to almost anyone born in the US irrespective of their parents’ immigration status.

In an interview with the Times, Trump praised Attorney General Pam Bondi, describing her as a commendable individual performing her duties effectively. Additionally, US political news outlet Semafor has cited multiple sources asserting that Trump has informed Bondi that her tenure as Attorney General is nearing its conclusion.
