Coachella 2026 is currently underway, celebrating its 25th anniversary. The first weekend concluded on April 12, with the second weekend scheduled for April 17–19 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. This year’s lineup features a mix of global superstars and iconic performances. Sabrina Carpenter kicked off the festival on Friday with an energetic performance, while Justin Bieber made a significant return on Saturday with new songs. Karol G made history on Sunday as the first Latina artist to headline the festival.
General admission passes for Coachella range from $549 to $649. Despite the high ticket prices, some attendees are criticizing the expensive food offerings at the event. One festival-goer shared on TikTok that she paid $23 for noodles and $28 for carne asada fries, prompting mixed reactions from others.
Influencer ‘Jacks Dining Room’ also showcased his Coachella food experience, featuring tacos for $20 and a luxe burger and fries with caviar for $150. Various food vendors at the event offered dishes like poke bowls for $23 and chicken sandwiches for $30. Even basic items like plain fries were priced at $12.
Pizza options did not fare any better, with one attendee spending $41 for two slices and a can of Coke, describing it as a disappointing experience. The high food prices were a common topic of conversation among festival-goers, with one person noting the cost per bite.
Even attendees who brought their own food ended up spending a significant amount at the festival. One woman mentioned that despite bringing their own meals, she and her friends still spent $50 on just three coffees.
For those planning to attend Coachella, budgeting for food expenses is essential. Sweetfin and Dave’s Hot Chicken have been contacted for comments regarding the pricing concerns at the event.
