A woman, Billie-Jo Suffill, faced a heartbreaking situation when she discovered that her father’s remains were missing after his funeral. Billie-Jo recounted kissing her father’s empty coffin, adorned with flowers spelling out “dad,” expressing her distress at realizing it may have been empty.
Funeral director Robert Bush, 48, admitted guilt at Hull Crown Court to several charges related to mishandling bodies and theft from charities. Families affected were given ashes that may not have belonged to their loved ones, adding to the distress caused by the situation.
Billie-Jo shared the impact on her mental health, revealing her PTSD diagnosis and the constant worry about the whereabouts of her father’s remains.
