Lord Charles Brocket, a peer and former reality TV personality, is scheduled to stand trial in late 2027 for allegations of sexual assault and rape. The 73-year-old, known for his appearance on the 2004 season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, appeared in Isleworth Crown Court recently. Although not arraigned, his legal representative, Crispin Aylett KC, stated his intention to plead not guilty.
Brocket faces charges of two counts of rape, two counts of sexual assault, and one count of sexual activity without consent in London in August, all related to one accuser. A previous charge of sexual assault by penetration in Warbleton, East Sussex, was dropped following a hearing.
Judge Martin Edmunds KC, the Recorder of the Royal Borough of Kensington, informed Brocket that his trial is set for November 1, 2027. The trial is anticipated to last seven days due to the backlog of cases and prioritization of matters in custody. Brocket, residing in Fulham, West London, confirmed his identity during the pre-trial preparation and was conditionally bailed for a case management hearing in January 2026.
Further proceedings include a pre-trial review scheduled for October 7, 2027. Brocket, attired in a slate grey suit and white shirt, remained composed during the court session as administrative matters were addressed.
