In his relentless quest for the Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote has utilized a variety of gadgets over the years, all to no avail. However, a new perspective emerges in the form of questioning whether the Acme Corporation, known for products like the “Instant Tunnel” and the “Do-It-Yourself Tornado Kit,” is to blame for the Coyote’s perpetual failure due to producing subpar items.
This notion forms the basis of the film titled “Coyote vs. Acme,” where the hapless protagonist seeks legal recourse against Acme Corporation for the physical harm he has endured from their faulty products. After facing delays and being shelved by Warner Bros. Discovery for tax purposes, the movie is now set to premiere in theaters this Friday, thanks to independent distributor Ketchup Entertainment acquiring the rights.
To honor the film’s spirit, we have compiled a list of our favorite anti-capitalist movies from the past four decades.
