“Darts Pro Luke Littler Maintains Silence with Rival”

Date:

Luke Littler has acknowledged that he has not engaged in any communication with Gian van Veen following their heated confrontation during night nine of the Premier League in Manchester three weeks ago. Van Veen controversially defeated the two-time world champion, accusing Littler of provocative behavior towards the audience when he missed crucial darts.

Since then, tensions have persisted between the two players, with Littler confirming after his victory on night 12 in Manchester that they are still not on speaking terms. Littler mentioned that he has not initiated a conversation with Van Veen, stating that he is not inclined to approach him and prefers others to initiate conversations with him first.

Regarding their interaction offstage, Littler stated, “We can settle it on the dartboard. In the back room, everything has been normal with the same preparation routine. If necessary, I will address it.” He emphasized that while they have differing opinions, they have both focused on their on-stage performance and have moved past the conflict.

Despite facing backlash from fans, Littler remained focused and secured a victory in Liverpool, noting that the reception was less hostile compared to a previous event in Rotterdam. Looking ahead, Littler expressed readiness for the upcoming match in Aberdeen against Josh Rock, while Van Veen is set to face Jonny Clayton in the quarter-finals.

Sky recently enhanced its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle to include prominent streaming services like HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, and Hayu, along with extensive coverage of over 1,400 live matches across various sports leagues, including the Premier League, EFL, Formula 1, darts, and golf.
