Offset, a former member of the music group Migos, has been the victim of a shooting incident outside a casino in Florida. This unfortunate event occurred three years after Offset’s bandmate Takeoff, also known as Kirshnik Khari Ball, was fatally shot at the age of 28 in Houston, Texas. The tragic incident involving Takeoff took place at a bowling alley in 2023, with his manager attributing his death to random gunfire and unnecessary violence following an altercation during a late-night dice game. Takeoff lost his life in the shooting, while two others sustained injuries and were hospitalized.
The memorial service for Takeoff was held in November 2022 at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, where notable figures like Drake, Cardi B, and Justin Bieber paid their respects through speeches and performances. Migos, comprised of Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset, gained worldwide recognition for their music, particularly with the chart-topping single “Bad and Boujee” in 2016. The group’s success continued with collaborations like Calvin Harris’ “Slide” in 2017, leading to multiple top 10 hits in the United States.
Quavo, Takeoff’s uncle and bandmate, expressed deep sorrow over his nephew’s passing and highlighted their close bond in a heartfelt online tribute. Following the recent shooting incident, Offset has been hospitalized and is under close observation after sustaining gunshot wounds. A spokesperson confirmed that the musician was shot on April 6 and is currently in stable condition, receiving necessary medical care. Offset, who shares three children with his former spouse Cardi B, is now recovering from the traumatic event.
