Fans of Judge Judy’s sharp wit and no-nonsense attitude will likely appreciate Levy’s courtroom demeanor, as showcased in the trailer where he delivers clever and cutting remarks reminiscent of his mother’s style.
Interestingly, Judge Judy initially had reservations about her son taking on the show, confessing in the trailer that she wouldn’t have encouraged him to do so several years ago. She humorously admitted that she wasn’t ready to relinquish her position and joked that she believes Levy has the potential to outshine her, a notion she finds unsettling.
Scheduled to premiere on September 14, the new series, executive produced by Judge Judy herself, marks a return to courtroom reality TV following the conclusion of the original “Judge Judy” show after 25 successful seasons. With an average viewership of 10 million per episode, the show became a top-rated syndicated program during its run on CBS.
