Singer-songwriter Lola Young has decided to cancel her upcoming performances following a collapse on stage during a concert in New York. The 24-year-old artist, known for her song “Messy,” took to Instagram to announce her hiatus, expressing regret for disappointing her fans who had purchased tickets to see her. She assured fans of a full refund and requested their understanding as she takes time off to focus on self-improvement.
During her performance at the All Things Go music festival in Forest Hills Stadium, Lola collapsed while singing her popular track “Conceited,” prompting immediate medical attention. Prior to the incident, she shared with the audience about facing challenging days that made her feel overwhelmed.
Fellow artist American rapper Doechii, also known as Jaylah Hickman, showed support for Lola by leading the crowd in chanting “we love you Lola” after her distressing moment on stage. This incident comes after Lola had to cancel a previous show due to mental health concerns, as confirmed by her manager, Nick Shymansky, on Instagram.
Lola, who recently released her third studio album titled “I’m Only F****ing Myself,” had a series of performances scheduled across venues in England and Scotland for October. The singer’s team emphasized her commitment to her fans and career, apologizing for any inconvenience caused by the cancellations.
