According to a police spokesperson, officers arrived at Embankment Gardens around 4:10 am on Tuesday, December 2, after receiving a report of a rape. The victim, a woman in her twenties, was interviewed by the police and is currently receiving support from specialized officers. No arrests have been made yet, with law enforcement actively pursuing investigative leads.
Situated adjacent to Embankment Tube Station near the River Thames, Embankment Gardens features various historical statues dating back to the late 1800s, including notable figures like John Stuart Mill and a memorial honoring Robert Burns.
