The third alert is for rain, covering a large portion of northern England from Tuesday morning until 3pm, with forecasted rainfall of up to 80mm. Additionally, a rain warning is active for Wales and the south-west of England from 6pm tomorrow until 6pm on Tuesday, with expected rainfalls of up to 100mm.
The Met Office warns of potential power outages in the regions affected by these warnings, with the rain alert also carrying a risk of flooding. Travel delays are expected, and individuals in these areas are advised to make necessary preparations. The Met Office suggests checking road conditions, bus and train schedules, and adjusting travel plans accordingly to minimize disruptions.

Being prepared in advance can help manage power outages effectively. Consider gathering essentials like torches, batteries, a mobile phone power pack, and other necessary items.”
