The body of a man who had been missing for nearly 18 months was found on a farm, according to the latest report from the police.
The authorities confirmed that the remains have been identified as those of Trevor Blanchard, a resident of Lincolnshire who disappeared in June 2024. The police have notified the man’s family about the discovery and stated that there are no suspicious circumstances or signs of foul play. They have requested privacy for Mr. Blanchard’s family as they cope with the sad news.
A spokesperson for the police stated, “We are saddened to announce the discovery of human remains on farmland in Halton Holegate on November 22. These remains have been identified as belonging to Trevor Blanchard, a 61-year-old man who had been missing. We had issued appeals for information between June and October last year to help locate Trevor, who was reported missing from the Spilsby area. We appreciate the community’s support in sharing these appeals and assisting in the search efforts.”
“The family of Trevor has been notified about this development. Our thoughts are with them and all those who knew Trevor during this challenging period,” the spokesperson added. “There is no indication of any suspicious circumstances or foul play related to this discovery.
