Carey Price, the long-time goaltender for the Montreal Canadiens, will be honored at the Bell Centre for his upcoming Hall of Fame induction. The team announced that Price will return to the Bell Centre on November 10 to commemorate his induction, which is scheduled for the day before.
Being the 62nd member of the organization to enter the Hall of Fame, Price will also have his name added to the Bell Centre’s Ring of Honour, a distinction reserved for former players who have achieved elite status in the hockey world. Throughout his illustrious 15-year career in Montreal, Price has set numerous franchise records, including most games played and victories as a goaltender.
A highly decorated player, Price boasts a remarkable career stats line with a 2.51 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage across 712 games. In addition to his Hall of Fame induction, Price will be recognized during a game against the Minnesota Wild.
Noteworthy achievements in Price’s career include being a seven-time all-star and being selected as the fifth overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry draft. As the Canadiens gear up for the upcoming season, their pre-season begins on September 19, with the regular season opener slated for September 29 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
