“Officer injured in Bondi Beach terror attack faces potential vision loss”

A police officer wounded during the Bondi Beach terror incident may face potential vision loss in one eye, according to recent accounts. Probationary Constable Jack Hibbert is currently hospitalized following surgery on his shoulder and eye. He, along with Senior Constable Scott Dyson, were identified as the two officers harmed while intervening in a mass shooting incident purportedly executed by Sajid Akram, 50, and his son Naveed, 24, at a Hanukkah event on Sunday evening. Constable Dyson is also receiving medical care in the hospital, with his status reported as serious but stable, as per news.com.au. Among those affected, sixteen individuals, including a 10-year-old girl and the assailant Sajid, have passed away, while another 22, including the two officers, are still receiving medical treatment. Nine of the injured individuals are in a critical or critical but stable condition, based on information from New South Wales Health as of 8 pm local time on Tuesday.
