In a heartfelt message, Sir David Jason, renowned for his character Del Boy in the sitcom, expressed his sadness over Patrick’s health struggles and extended condolences to his family and friends. Murray portrayed Mickey Pearce, the comical sidekick to Del Boy and Rodney Trotter, in 20 episodes of the BBC series from 1983 to 2003.

Sue Holderness, Murray’s co-star who played Marlene in the sitcom, paid tribute to him on social media, expressing her sorrow over his passing. Murray had bravely battled cancer, undergoing surgery and chemotherapy, with a positive update on his health in early 2022 before a setback in April 2023.
Aside from his role in Only Fools and Horses, Patrick Murray had notable appearances in films like Quadrophenia and Scum, as well as various TV shows such as The Upper Hand, The Bill, ITV Playhouse, and Bergerac.
