Following President Donald Trump’s announcement of a two-week ceasefire with Iran, two Iranian embassies openly mocked him for his association with the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender.
Just hours before Trump’s ultimatum to Iran, where he warned of dire consequences if no agreement was reached, he revealed on Truth Social that a temporary truce had been brokered between the two nations. This agreement was said to pave the way for reopening the Hormuz Strait. Shortly after this declaration, Trump was derided online for allegedly backing down on his threats towards Iran, labeled as TACOing – Trump Always Chickens Out.
In response, the Iranian Embassies of Bulgaria and Tajikistan took jabs at Trump, insinuating that the conflict was a diversion from the Epstein scandal.
The Iranian Embassy in Tajikistan shared an Epstein meme, sarcastically thanking Trump for diverting attention, while the Iranian Embassy in Bulgaria posted an Epstein meme captioned “Pray to Epstein!”, depicting top U.S. officials surrounding the late sex offender.
The ceasefire agreement was reached after the U.S. and Israel initiated Operation Epic Fury against Iran, resulting in the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and a rise in fuel prices. During this period, numerous documents related to Epstein were released by the Department of Justice.
Despite allegations linking Trump to Epstein, he has consistently denied any wrongdoing, with no law enforcement charges or investigations implicating him. However, several European leaders mentioned in the Epstein files have faced consequences, including resignations and arrests.
Following the military actions against Iran, speculation arose that the conflict was orchestrated to divert attention from the Epstein revelations involving influential figures globally. Trump’s administration maintained that their objectives in Iran were focused on dismantling the regime and preventing nuclear weapon development.
