In a recent interview, Donald Trump revealed that he disagrees with his doctor’s advice on exercise, dismissing it as “boring.” The US President expressed his dislike for activities like walking or running on a treadmill for extended periods, stating that it is not something he enjoys. Additionally, Trump disclosed that he takes a higher dose of aspirin than what his physician recommends. His doctor, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, indicated that Trump consumes 325 milligrams of aspirin daily.

Trump acknowledged that his doctor prefers him to take a smaller dose of aspirin but explained that he has been taking the larger dose for many years, despite the bruising it causes. He mentioned trying compression socks for his swollen ankles briefly but discontinued their use due to personal preference, relying on “good genetics” to address health concerns.

The President attributed his easy bruising to the large aspirin doses he takes, emphasizing the importance of thinning his blood for heart health. Trump dismissed reports of him falling asleep at White House events and denied any hearing difficulties. However, he admitted to using makeup to conceal bruises on his hands.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt linked a bruise on Trump’s hand to his frequent handshakes and daily aspirin regimen, which can contribute to bruising, according to past physical examinations. Trump responded to claims of slowing down by stating his success in a recent Cognitive Examination, refuting allegations of diminished sharpness or poor physical health.

Expressing frustration with media reports, Trump criticized publications like The New York Times for spreading false information about his health and work ethic. He emphasized his commitment to rigorous medical and cognitive evaluations and condemned what he perceived as malicious attacks on his reputation.
