Donald Trump has proposed that Britain should utilize its military to prevent small boat crossings. The outspoken US President mentioned during a press conference that unauthorized migration can lead to internal destruction of nations. He hinted at the possibility of deploying the British Navy in French waters, potentially sparking tensions with a NATO partner.

Trump drew parallels between the situations in the UK and the US, asserting that he had informed the Prime Minister of his intention to address the issue. He emphasized the need to take decisive action, irrespective of the methods employed, to prevent the destabilization caused by such migration. He also highlighted efforts to remove individuals who entered the US illegally.

In contrast, Mr. Starmer emphasized the importance of collaboration with neighboring countries in addressing small boat crossings. He commended the initial deportation of a migrant under the ‘one in one out’ agreement with France. The Prime Minister echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the need to dismantle criminal networks facilitating illegal migration.

During a joint appearance with the UK Prime Minister at Chequers, Trump expressed disappointment with Russian President Vladimir Putin, citing unresolved issues concerning Russia and Ukraine. He praised the historical contributions of the US and the UK to global welfare, attributing their success to the British tradition of liberty.

The US President emphasized the enduring partnership between the UK and the US, highlighting recent agreements in defense, trade, and technology. He signed a new tech prosperity agreement with Sir Keir Starmer, underscoring the strengthening bond between the two nations. Trump commended the Prime Minister for his efforts in finalizing the deal, describing it as a significant milestone in bilateral relations.
