Former U.S. President Donald Trump recently removed an AI-generated image from his social media platform, Truth Social. The image depicted him in a manner resembling Jesus Christ, with a divine light emanating from his hands as he appeared to heal a man in a hospital bed, with a demon in the background.
This image was shared amidst Trump’s controversial remarks directed at Pope Leo, leading to backlash from some of his prominent Christian supporters. Megan Basham, a reporter at the conservative Daily Wire, criticized Trump for what she deemed as “blasphemy,” while Isabel Brown, a host on the same platform, labeled the image as “disgusting and unacceptable.”
Basham urged Trump to promptly remove the image, expressing disbelief at the post and demanding an apology from the President. Trump later defended the image, stating that it portrayed him as a “doctor” supporting the Red Cross.
In a separate incident, Trump engaged in a social media dispute with Pope Leo, criticizing the Pope’s stance on various issues. Pope Leo responded by emphasizing his commitment to advocating for peace and promoting dialogue among nations.
Despite calls for an apology, Trump refused to back down, asserting that he had nothing to apologize for and maintaining his position on international matters.
