Donald Trump raised health concerns when an unusual detail was observed on his hand prior to his meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The US president was captured outside his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida with what appeared to be makeup or paint concealing a presumed bruise on his hand. Trump, 79, engaged with reporters before his discussion with Zelensky regarding the latest iteration of the 20-point peace plan.
Notably, Trump has been previously seen concealing hand bruising with light-colored concealer or sporting bandages. Recently, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt linked a dark purple bruise on the back of Trump’s right hand to his frequent handshakes, stating that the Oval Office is consistently busy with numerous meetings undisclosed to the public.
Leavitt further explained that Trump’s daily aspirin regimen, recommended in his physical examinations, may contribute to the visible bruising. In response to speculations about his health, Trump disclosed taking another Cognitive Examination, which he claimed to have excelled in, challenging reports suggesting his decline in health or cognitive abilities.
Leavitt disclosed the results of Trump’s recent MRI on December 1, where White House doctor Captain Sean Barbabella reported normal imaging of Trump’s heart and abdomen, indicating no arterial narrowing or abnormalities affecting blood flow. The doctor affirmed Trump’s cardiovascular system to be in excellent condition, with all major organs appearing healthy and well-perfused.
