One individual has passed away and another is in critical condition after an active shooter incident at an airport.
The Elko Regional Airport in Nevada, USA, has been shut down due to reports of an active shooter on Monday, April 13.
Lieutenant Shane Daz of the Elko Police Department stated that authorities were alerted to an active shooter situation at 12:30 pm local time on Monday. Upon arrival, one fatality was discovered.
According to KSL TV, the deceased individual is a minor.
The Elko Police Department issued a statement saying, “An investigation is ongoing at the Elko Airport. The airport is currently closed to all traffic. Updates on its reopening will be provided.”
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
