The upcoming major football competition is right around the corner, and this edition promises to be larger than ever. A total of 48 teams will be participating, an increase from the previous 32, leading to a record-breaking 104 matches scheduled across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Commencing on Thursday, June 11, and culminating with the final match on Sunday, July 19, the tournament spans five weeks. To enhance the excitement of this football extravaganza, we have collaborated with Tesco to offer fans additional engagement opportunities.
The Tesco Whoosh team, in partnership with the Daily Mirror, has developed a complimentary wall chart to help followers stay updated on all the tournament action. Additionally, a table football pitch featuring origami goals has been created for fans to relive the highlights of the matches at home.

Follow the steps below to construct your origami goals and set up your pitch for an enjoyable football experience:
– Cut out both goal squares to serve as your left and right goals.
– Fold each square upwards, ensuring the goal artwork is visible and the Whoosh logo is at the bottom.
– Shape the bottom and top corners by folding them accordingly.
– Fold down the top layer to form the front of the goal.
– Flip the shape over and fold the top corners down again.
– Continue folding to create the origami goal shape, and crease the edges for stability.
Place both goals on the provided pitch and craft a small ball from the leftover paper to kick-start the fun. Harry Brent, a senior sports writer at the Daily Mirror and host of the Make Football Great Again podcast, praised the pop-up pitch, stating it is ideal for settling debates, recreating iconic moments, or enjoying a quick game during the tournament.
“This table football game is perfect for settling debates, recreating iconic goals, or squeezing in a quick kickabout during the tournament,” mentioned Harry. “Our wall chart provides a comprehensive overview of all the games taking place in the US, Mexico, and Canada, making it perfect for watch parties. The Daily Mirror and Tesco Whoosh have truly outdone themselves with this must-have giveaway. Now, it’s time for the home nations to perform on the field.”
