Lewis Hamilton has shared the heartbreaking news of the passing of his beloved bulldog, Roscoe. The seven-time Formula 1 champion remained by Roscoe’s side since Wednesday when he rushed him to a veterinary clinic after a concerning decline in his health.

Sadly, Roscoe’s condition worsened, and he slipped into a coma, prompting Hamilton to express his fears on social media. Despite efforts by the medical team, Roscoe, who was approximately 13 years old, did not recover and passed away. Hamilton expressed his gratitude for the support and love shown to Roscoe over the years.

Roscoe had been a constant companion to Hamilton, accompanying him to various F1 races, including those in Europe and Silverstone. The bulldog also joined Hamilton on stage at the British Grand Prix earlier this year, marking his first appearance as a Ferrari driver.

Despite his absence from recent events, Roscoe had gained a massive following on his Instagram page, with 1.3 million followers. Hamilton, who was supposed to participate in a tyre test in Italy, decided to stay with Roscoe instead, with reserve driver Zhou Guanyu taking his place on the track alongside Charles Leclerc.

Fans of Formula 1 can enjoy live coverage of all the action with Sky’s new Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle, which includes access to practice sessions, qualifying, and races, along with over 100 TV channels and subscriptions to Netflix and Discovery+.
