Center Parcs Cuts Crèche Service, Families Upset

Date:

Center Parcs has decided to discontinue its crèche service for children between three months and three years old, sparking backlash from families. The holiday park chain announced that visitors will no longer have the option to pay for a three-hour crèche session for their kids starting next month.

According to a spokesperson from Center Parcs, the decision to remove the crèche service was based on guest feedback and low demand for this specific activity. The company aims to enhance the overall guest experience by introducing new activities for children of all ages while maintaining other existing activities within the Activity Den.

Customers planning to visit a Center Parcs resort soon were surprised to find that crèche slots were no longer available for booking from June. Some parents expressed disappointment on social media platforms, highlighting the convenience and value of the crèche service during their stays.

Before the closure of the crèche service, Center Parcs described it as a vibrant and interactive space for children to engage in structured activities guided by experienced carers. Meanwhile, construction has commenced on a new Center Parcs site in the Scottish Borders, expected to create around 1,200 job opportunities.

The upcoming forest resort will feature a diverse range of tree species and plant life, fostering a rich biodiversity and abundant wildlife. The development in the Scottish Borders will include 700 lodges and flats, a Subtropical Swimming Paradise, retail outlets, dining venues, and an Aqua Sana Forest Spa set amidst the woodland surroundings. Virtual tours and 3D renderings showcase the various amenities along the waterfront at the new site.
