Notably, the film broke records as the second-fastest to reach $1 billion, following “Avengers: Endgame.”
“The Odyssey” is set to expand its reach further with its upcoming release in the Chinese market. The film is expected to make a significant impact in China, with plans to screen on approximately 800 Imax screens, generating high demand among audiences.
Imax technology has played a crucial role in the success of both “The Odyssey” and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.” Despite challenges faced by the film industry during the COVID pandemic, Imax has seen a surge in popularity, becoming synonymous with event cinema.
