Princess Charlotte is commemorating her 11th birthday today, with her parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, celebrating by releasing a new birthday photo of their daughter. The image captures the young princess standing in a meadow of flowers, smiling at the camera.
For the photo, Charlotte donned a pair of jeans and a striped sweater, with her long hair cascading freely and her nails adorned with blue polish. The accompanying caption reads: “Wishing Charlotte a very happy 11th birthday!” accompanied by a cake emoji. The photograph was taken by Matt Porteous during the Cambridge family’s Easter break in Cornwall.
Numerous admirers were quick to observe the striking resemblance between the young princess and her father, Prince William, in the picture, as royal enthusiasts took to social media to convey their birthday greetings to Charlotte.
One individual remarked on X: “Happy Birthday Charlotte, you look more and more like your daddy. A beautiful young lady!” while another added: “Oh doesn’t she look like her Dad?! Happy birthday Charlotte.”
Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond shared with the Mirror that the Cambridge family will undoubtedly be celebrating Charlotte’s special day today, emphasizing, “I think she’s living proof that the Duke and Duchess are entirely justified in prioritizing their family as they have insisted.”
Jennie Bond highlighted that William and Kate have been transparent about putting their family first, especially evident on their children’s birthdays. She expressed that Charlotte would be lavished with festivities on her birthday.
“In recent decades, the royals have, with some justification, been labeled one of the most dysfunctional families in the land,” Jennie remarked. “And that needs to change. William and Catherine have faced criticism for making that change, by ring-fencing school holidays for example, and by simply being there for their children in the way royals of the past have not always been. And I think it’s making a crucial difference. They all look like great kids – a credit to their devoted parents.”
