Some Sky customers are facing an annoying bug affecting the popular ITVX app. The issue seems to have emerged last week, with users reporting that their viewing experience is being disrupted by a glitch that skips to the end of programs unexpectedly. This means that viewers are being abruptly taken to the credits section without using the fast-forward feature on their remote control.
Sharing their concerns on Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky mentioned, “ITV Player is randomly fast-forwarding to the end of episodes, causing difficulty for the past few days.” Another user named Dawn also complained about similar issues, stating, “Anyone else experiencing problems with watching ITVX programs? Shows are jumping to the end randomly, sometimes right after an ad break.”
The issue appears to be affecting users with Sky’s online devices such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it is uncertain if Sky Q is also impacted, most complaints are from individuals using broadband-powered devices rather than traditional satellite dishes.
Although the root cause of the problem remains unknown, a Sky employee named Kev has acknowledged the issues and assured users that the company is actively working on a solution. Kev stated, “We are aware of the problem and are collaborating with ITV to address it. We will provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.”
For now, users may have to endure the skipping problems, but a resolution is hopefully forthcoming. Mirror Online will keep readers updated on any developments regarding this issue.
