“Alberta Storm Warning Lifted, Watch Remains”

Date:

Environment Canada has canceled a yellow warning for severe weather following a storm that swept through southern Alberta on Tuesday evening. The agency had cautioned about potential damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rain as the storm progressed from Claresholm towards areas near Lethbridge and Medicine Hat. The initial warning, issued earlier on Tuesday, had highlighted the threat of a severe thunderstorm capable of generating baseball-sized hail and causing damage to structures and trees.

Although the severe weather warning has been lifted, a yellow watch for a severe thunderstorm remains in effect for a significant portion of the region extending from Claresholm eastwards to Hays and southwards to the U.S. border as of Tuesday night. For the latest updates and information, individuals are encouraged to visit the Environment Canada website.
