Responding to the government’s actions, Lib Dem leader Sir Ed Davey criticized Labour’s approach, accusing them of imposing higher taxes on families and businesses without effectively addressing the cost-of-living crisis. He urged the Prime Minister to consider alternative solutions, such as the Liberal Democrat proposal for a fuel duty cut, to prevent potential energy bill hikes that could burden families and pensioners in the coming months.
