Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors accusing her of fraud for allegedly not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors put in around $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 with the aim of enhancing users’ “mental fitness.”
According to the lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware, investors were led to believe that Gomez, a prominent social media figure with over 500 million followers, would actively participate in the company’s growth as the head of marketing. However, they claim that Gomez and other executives failed to meet their commitments, such as the creation of a mobile app.
The lawsuit states that Gomez allegedly disregarded a contract that she had agreed to, and the company failed to fulfill its basic obligations, including timely payment to employees and vendors. The plaintiffs contend that the company did not have a viable business plan and did not meet the promised expectations.
A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter. The legal action asserts that investors were unaware of the company’s issues until they were publicized in an online news report in September 2025. The plaintiffs are seeking to recover their investments as well as legal fees.
